Ana Vera Machado is an Associate Professor at the Polymer Engineering Department of the University of Minho in Portugal. The main scientific research areas are polymerization, copolymerization, polymer modification, polymers blend and nanocomposites to develop nanostructured, biosustainable, functional and smart materials.
She has been involved in the organization of international conferences and workshops. She has participated in several research projects with FCT or European funding, either as team leader or team researcher.
