Dr. Pellicane is an Associate Professor in the Pietermaritzburg campus of the School of Chemistry and Physics, at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN, South Africa). He took his Ph.D. in Physics at the University of Messina (Italy) in 2001. He is the co-author of approximately 60 peer-reviewed articles indexed in the web of Science – core collection database. His fields of expertise are the theory and computer simulation of simple/complex fluids. He is a C1 rated researcher of the National Research Foundation (NRF) of South Africa and an individual associate/ordinary member of the National Institute for Theoretical Physics (NIThEP) and South African Institute of Physics (SAIP). He has acted as a reviewer for several international journals belonging to internationally well-known academic publishers including Taylor & Francis, American Chemical Society, Elsevier, Royal Society Publishing, Institute of Physics, American Physical Society, Royal Society of Chemistry, American Institute of Physics.
