Prof. Jose M. Kenny is Full Professor of Materials Science and Technology and Director of the Materials Science and Technology Centre of the University of Perugia in Italy. He is also the Director of the European Centre for Nanostructured Polymers with headquarters in Florence (Italy) and operative locations in Italy (Terni, Alessandria), France (Lyon) and Spain (Madrid). He has also been Research Professor and Vice Director at the Institute of Polymer Science and Technology of CSIC in Madrid (Spain) where he continues to direct a research group on nanostructures polymers and nanocomposites. He has been visiting professor at several European and American Universities, has been President of SAMPE EUROPE in 2001-2002 and is currently Past President, Trustee and Fellow of the European Society for Advanced Materials and Process Engineering (SAMPE). In 2011 he received the SAMPE Fellow Award, in 2012 he received the RAICES Award from the Ministry of Research and Innovation of Argentina, and in 2014 he has been awarded the Mega-Grant of the Russian Federation for the Theoretical and Experimental Analysis of Thermoplastic Polymer Composites and Nanocomposites.
