Xudong Wang is a professor in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He did his B. S. in Materials Science and Engineering at Jilin University, China in the year 1998 and done M.E. in Chemical Engineering at Hunan University, China in the year 2001. He did his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology in the year 2005. His research interests are in the fields of Oxide nanomaterials growth and characterization, Semiconductor nanomaterials and devices for solar energy harvesting and energy storage. He was honored with NSF CAREER Award in 2012, DARPA Young Faculty Award in 2011, 3M Non-tenured Faculty Award in 2011, Young Innovators Under 35 Award (TR35) by Technology Review Magazine in 2007, Sigma Xi Best Faculty Paper Award, Georgia Tech in 2008.
